Rudy’s Farm Sausage Biscuit Dress Up with Egg and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • Twin Pack of Rudy’s Farm Sausage Biscuits* (the small plain ones)
  • 1 egg (we only use free range vegetarian fed eggs)
  • 1 slice yellow American cheese
  • yellow mustard
  • butter
  • milk
  • one paper towel

Directions:

  1. Microwave ovens vary, so these instructions may require slight alterations to work with yours.
  2. Remove sausage patties from the biscuits
  3. Set bread aside.
  4. Please patties in microwave for 35 seconds at normal regular cooking level or power.
  5. Remove sausage patties from microwave.
  6. Return patties to biscuits, wrap in paper towel, and microwave another 25 seconds.
  7. Leave in microwave to stay warm.
  8. Whisk egg with 1/2 teaspoon milk; lightly salt and pepper.
  9. Melt small amount of butter in small skillet.
  10. Add egg, but don’t “scramble” in the traditional sense.
  11. Cook it more like an omelet, allowing the egg to “set” without scrambling.
  12. When egg is pretty much “set,” use the spatula to cut the egg in half.
  13. Gently flip each half over in the skillet, allowing it to cook a little longer until egg is done but not too dried out.
  14. Place an egg portion on top of each sausage patty of the Rudy’s Farm biscuits.
  15. Fold American cheese slice in half, placing a piece on top of each egg.
  16. Microwave just a LITTLE longer to melt cheese, but do not cook too long or the bread will become as hard as a rock; we are talking a very FEW SECONDS here.
  17. Serve on a saucer with yellow mustard on the side for dipping.
  18. Enjoy with a bowl of fresh fruit and a cup of coffee or juice.

* You can try other sausage biscuits if you like, but we like the Rudy’s Farm biscuits the best.

Enjoy!
