Summary: Really Easy and Quick Cheese Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 large nice plump garlic clove
  • butter
  • Shredded Mexican Five Cheese Blend (or colby/cheddar) I use Sargento
  • olive oil spray
  • one loaf of french bread (I prefer the Pepperidge Farm Hot and Crusty French Loaves)

Instructions

  1. Slice bread in half lengthwise.

  2. LIGHTLY spray tin foil with Olive Oil Spray.
  3. Place bread slices on foil.
  4. Make sure foil will cover bread entirely.
  5. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Finely chop a nice plump garlic clove. Place in microwavable dish.
  7. Add half stick of butter to garlic in dish, slicing for more even heating.
  8. Microwave until melted.
  9. Brush the INSIDES of the bread with butter.
  10. Save some of the butter and garlic mix for the outside.
  11. Add finely shredded cheese to each side.
  12. Add fresh ground pepper.
  13. Place bread slices back together.
  14. Brush OUTSIDE of bread with remaining butter. Wrap tightly in foil.
  15. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes, more or less based on your oven.
  16. You don’t want to “cook” the bread, you just want it nice and hot with cheese melted.
